Backyard Farms grows tomatoes and lettuce in greenhouses, delivering fresh, local produce to grocers year-round no matter the season. They came to us wanting custom recipe development and product photography for their website launch.

How do you make a commodity feel like the star?

Whatever the dish, the rule stays the same: tomato and lettuce stay the star, never buried under a supporting cast of other ingredients. And they get treated like celebs, too — a calyx that isn’t fresh and green enough gets swapped for one that is (we call it a hair transplant), plus water droplets for shine and plenty of sorting to find the best-looking piece for the shot.
